Hello! My name is Haley Beavers. I am currently a second-year Health Services Administration major, with minors in Mathematics, Business, and Spanish. My Xavier experience has been an enormous blessing! I am pretty involved on campus. I participate in Life After Sunday, Catholic Ministry Team, eXchange Weekly Service, Manresa Orientation Team, Alternative Breaks (Finding Justice in the Prison System 2014), peer tutoring, and, of course, the Brueggeman Fellowship program! I love going to Xavier sporting events, especially volleyball and basketball games. I am looking forward to my second year at Xavier University!
My goal as a Fellow is to travel to Costa Rica and complete a comprehensive study of the healthcare system. I want to learn more about universal health systems, and examine how different systems affect physician-patient relationships. My dream is to have some sort of internship in a Costa Rican hospital. Also, I want to do a medical mission trip while I am in Central America. I believe that volunteering and giving back is an important part of the Brueggeman experience, and I wish to implement that giving spirit into my travels!
